Kevin C. Murphy
Kevin began his investment industry career in 1981 and joined Stifel in 2009. He has been named to Stifel’s Chairman’s Council every year since joining the firm.
Kevin was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, where he and his 11 siblings attended Natrona County High School. From there, Kevin attended the University of Wyoming before transferring to his dream school, the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a B.B.A. in Finance. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).
Outside the office, Kevin remains actively involved in the community, serving as a member of the Casper Rotary Club, the Notre Dame Club of Wyoming, Cowboy Joe Club, and alumni of the University of Wyoming Association. While his kids were young, Kevin coached them in a variety of sports. One of his proudest achievements was coaching his son’s, Ryan’s, 8th grade basketball team to an AAU National Championship in Las Vegas in 2005. Although he no longer coaches, Kevin is a proud sponsor and consultant for many youth sport organizations in Casper.
For 2023 qualification, Stifel’s Chairman’s Council consisted of 240 of the firm’s top-producing financial advisors from among its approximately 2,300 financial advisors across the nation.
